About Wordfall
Wordfall is a word game against the clock. Letters drop into a seven-by-nine grid and pile up. Trace words through touching letters — sideways, up, down or diagonally — and those tiles vanish, letting everything above them fall. Reach the level's goal before the stack reaches the top.
How to play
Drag across three or more touching letters to spell a word, then let go. A real word clears; anything else is simply dropped. You can also tap letters one at a time and tap the last one again to submit, or play entirely from the keyboard. The dictionary holds over 34,000 everyday English words from three to eight letters; names, places and abbreviations are not included.
Tips
- Longer words are worth far more than several short ones: a six-letter word scores about five times a three-letter word from the same letters.
- Rare letters — J, Q, X and Z — carry the highest values. Use them before they bury you.
- Clear tall columns first. The game ends when a letter has nowhere to land.
- Plurals and verb endings count: if CAT is there, look for CATS.
Levels and bonus cards
Each level sets a score goal and a falling speed. Clear it to unlock the next level and pick a bonus card: the computer spelling words for you, slow motion, double-scoring words or extra hints. If a word you know is not accepted, tell us with the ⚑ button and we will look at adding it.
